Ready pathway
Gig Ready: a first gig plan.
Define a service you can offer independently and plan conversations with potential first clients.
US$488 · 2 days + 90-day practice and coaching
Cohort dates: To be determined.
01 · What feels stuck
Is this where you are?
You have a skill, but it is not yet clear how that skill becomes an offer another person can choose.
Who this is for
People with a usable skill who want to define an independent service and test it with potential clients. This programme develops the service offer, not the underlying technical skill.
02 · What you will do
What you will leave with
Define what service you will offer, who it helps and which potential clients you will speak to first.
- A defined service and sample
- A draft quotation
- A delivery checklist
- A 90-day outreach plan
Explore the two-day syllabus
Day 1: Turn your skill into a defined service
Choose a skill you can demonstrate
Inventory usable skills and evidence. Select a service-sized task.
Output: A skill-to-service shortlist.
Choose the customer before the offer
Describe a specific customer situation. Test assumptions with discovery questions.
Output: A customer problem statement and question set.
Make the deliverable and limits visible
Specify deliverables and exclusions. Build a sample with acceptance criteria.
Output: A one-page service offer and sample.
Price the work you actually promise
Estimate effort and direct costs. Define payment milestones and revision limits.
Output: A draft quotation and pricing worksheet.
Day 2: Find clients and deliver what you promise
Find people worth contacting
Identify plausible prospective clients. Write a specific and respectful opening message.
Output: A prospect list and outreach draft.
Turn an enquiry into an agreed brief
Clarify objectives, inputs and deadlines. Confirm scope and the next decision in writing.
Output: An enquiry guide and agreed brief template.
Handle changes and complete the handover
Respond to a revision request. Check quality and complete a client handover.
Output: A change-request note and delivery checklist.
Test your offer over 90 days
Plan customer conversations and service tests. Select evidence for changing the offer.
Output: A 90-day outreach and delivery plan.
Daily times, venue, group size and entry requirements will be confirmed for each cohort.
Explore an exercise and its review questions
"One More Thing": a simulated client requests extra work; the provider clarifies the change and demonstrates a handover.
Feedback and review: Check whether the response protects the agreement while giving the client a workable choice.
What you revise or apply: Record changes and use a delivery checklist on the next job.
Inspect a worked example: Define an offer someone can assess
Illustrative teaching example. This is fictional, not a participant submission, facilitator feedback record or evidence of results.
- Starting draft
- I can help with social media.
- Review question
- For whom, with what deliverable and where does the work stop?
- More specific version
- I draft four captions from a cafe owner’s supplied menu and photos. We agree the scope, review round and fee before work begins.
Try it: write your own starting statement, answer the review question and choose one action you can check afterwards.
03 · Time and included support
Your attendance and follow-through
You continue by testing the offer in real conversations. It does not promise clients or income.
Included in the fee: 90 days to implement what you learnt and committed to during the two-day programme.
- Between coaching days: put your commitments into practice and use the WhatsApp group for online peer coaching.
- Day 30: half-day group coaching.
- Day 60: half-day group coaching.
- Day 90: half-day group coaching and graduation.
Plan for the two programme days, three half-days of group coaching and time between them to implement your commitments. Implementation time depends on the work you choose; it is separate from the coaching sessions.
Soo Hoo Yoon Hunn facilitates the group coaching. Coaching dates, times, delivery format and missed-session arrangements will be confirmed before booking.
What to bring to each coaching session
Use these tasks to prepare for each coaching session. Agree how to apply them to your goal with Soo Hoo.
- Day 30
- Bring the service offer, sample and evidence from initial customer conversations.
- Day 60
- Review feedback, enquiries and any delivery attempts; revise scope or pricing.
- Day 90
- Present the revised offer and delivery process, with evidence and the next test.
